===== Technical =====
Insights is implemented as a Windows service and runs on a server.

For Lime CRM it is typically installed on the Lime CRM server machine. It uses Lime CRM Web Service to access the Lime CRM database.

===== System requirements =====

  * The Administration interface only works in modern browsers - Internet Explorer 9, or above. 
  * The display of insights requires Internet Explorer 8, or above.
  * Windows (XP or later). 
  * Domain controllers will not work as a server
  * .NET framework 4.0 or later needs to be installed on the server (install before installing LIME Insights).

===== Other =====
  * LIME Insights will create a new local User Account to run the LIME Insights service, if you want a specified User Account or if you have an existing please have that information available.

  * Note that you need to give this user account access privileges to your data source.

  * To change the user account you must re-install LIME Insight.

  * The installer will open the port 1113 to inbound traffic, which is used to publish the web content. This can not be changed.  

  * When the installation is complete your web browser will be launched and redirect you to the admin page of LIME Insight. You now need to [[addons:insights:configuration|configure]] your Insights.
