What if you belong to more than one group when creating new objects?

Each user is tagged with one default group. If you are a member of more than one group, for example as a Sales Manager and you work both in Sweden and Norway and you want deals to be tagged with different groups depending on deal you need to change the group after the deal has been created (see more info here).

How does object access work when importing files for creating objects?

All objects that are created using the importer are created in the same way as if you would have created them manually through the clients. That is, the owner is set to the user importing the file, the group is set to the users default group and the permissions are set to the default permission for the object.
