Server requirements

Since almost every Lime CRM solution is unique it is very hard to provide generic hardware recommendations. Below you will find the absolute minimum requirements and a set of examples for a basic setup without any heavy usage integrations. We recommend using virtualization in order to easily scale CPU and memory based on actual load.

Internet access for outgoing traffic.

RAM

Disk space

Users CPUs RAM (GB)
1-50 4 16
100 8 16
500 8 32
2000 16 64

Lime CRM Server is supported in the following environment:

  • Windows Server 2016 or later (Standard or higher editions, 64-bit only)
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 or later (must be installed before Lime CRM Server)
  • Lime CRM Server must be installed on a dedicated server

Please note that Lime CRM Server cannot be installed on a domain controller (DC).

Important!

Installing and running Lime CRM Server on a non-dedicated server (where other applications, e.g. ERP system, web server, are running) is not supported. Lime reserves the right to deny support in cases where this rule has been violated.

While the database can be hosted on the application server, we recommend running SQL Server on a separate (virtual) server. If the database server is shared with other applications we strongly recommend creating a new SQL Server instance for Lime CRM use. Firewall opened for traffic to the database on port 1433 from the application server.

SQL Server as a Service, e.g. Azure SQL Database is not supported.

Lime CRM Server supports SQL Server 2017, 2019 and 2022, Standard or Enterprise editions, having the latest service pack installed.

SQL Server Standard Edition can be licensed either per user (user CALs) or per CPU core. SQL Server Enterprise Edition can only be licensed per CPU core. Please refer to Microsoft's licensing information for SQL Server for details.
